Kentucky Democrats In Disarray With No Clear Winner

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Kentucky Republicans have spoken and once again nominated rock-ribbed Kentucky leader Senator Mitch McConnell as their candidate for the U.S. Senate. While Democrats remain unable to choose between the self-declared furthest left person in Kentucky or Bernie Sanders’s hand-picked candidate, Senator McConnell is the clear winner because Kentuckians know he will always put the needs of the Bluegrass first.

As one of four congressional leaders not from New York or California, Senator McConnell gives Kentucky an out-sized voice at the table and has a historic string of successes for Kentucky. He slashed taxes for middle-class families, secured millions for Kentucky’s fight against the opioid epidemic, saved health care benefits and pensions for coal miners, and wrote and led the passage of the biggest economic rescue package in U.S. history to help all Kentuckians impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Senator McConnell’s commitment to lifting up all corners of Kentucky is undeniable.

“Serving Kentuckians is my highest honor, and I am grateful to once again be the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate,” said Senator McConnell. “Kentuckians have a huge choice this year regarding the path of our nation. Do we choose to follow Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and other Washington Democrats down the path towards socialism? I sure hope not. Instead, I am confident Kentuckians will choose expanding freedom, creating jobs, and upholding our conservative values. The path to stopping extreme liberal ideas — like the Green New Deal, government-run health care, and open borders — runs right through our Commonwealth. Kentuckians can count on me to continue stopping socialism in its tracks, fighting against radical liberal wish lists, and ensuring our values prevail.”
