LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Team Mitch today released a new ad campaign to hold extreme Amy McGrath accountable for her casual, contemptible comparison of President Donald Trump’s election to the worst terror attack in American history. “Compared” features President Trump slamming Amy McGrath for likening the morning of November 9, 2016, to the morning of September 11, 2001.
“While Amy McGrath’s flailing campaign has been defined by disastrous flip-flops and ‘confusing’ messaging, her contempt for Kentuckians who support President Trump is crystal clear,” said McConnell Senate Committee press secretary Kate Cooksey. “McGrath’s decision to equate an election to a terrorist attack – and then subsequently double down on an utterly disgraceful comparison – underscores her fidelity to the most fringe elements of the Democrat Party. A candidate who so closely aligns with members of the left-wing mob has no business becoming a member of the United States Senate.”
